Challenge Walk MS is a two-day, 50k experience that tests your strength and your spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of more than 17,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the Upper Midwest Chapter area.
Register before March 31 for only $45! Participants who register after March 31, must pay the full price of $55. All walkers are required to pay the fundraising minimum of $750 in order to participate.
Your registration will include access to our online fundraising tools, training resources, overnight accommodations, meals, full route support, and more.
Check-in from 6:45–8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the main lobby at Sabes Jewish Community Center (JCC). Do not drive down to the gym. Please bring any money or matching gift forms that haven’t been submitted, cash check or credit card to pay any remaining balance to reach the $750 fundraising minimum, and signed waivers. Most walkers will have completed an online waiver or paper waiver prior to the event. Anyone who hasn’t signed and turned in a waiver will need to complete one at check-in. To avoid long check-in lines, contact our Fundraising Support Center at fundraisingsupport@nmss.org or 855-372-1331 and we’ll mail a waiver to you.
After check-in, you’ll walk 20 miles in and around the western suburbs. A cheering station will be set up at the Lake Harriet Bandshell from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. We encourage your friends and family to cheer you on! Walkers will return to celebrate Saturday night at our “world-famous” pep rally emceed by Jeff Olsen. You’ll sleep “camping style” in the JCC gymnasium with a couple hundred of your Challenge Walk friends.
Sunday, Sept. 27, walkers will take on the last 10 miles into Minneapolis. A cheering station will be set up at 11:30 a.m. at Father Hennepin Park — invite your friends and family! The final mile, known as the Victory March, will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. from the American Academy of Neurology. If you’re still on the route at that time, you’ll be picked up and transported to the staging area. After walking over the Stone Arch Bridge into Father hennepin Park, we’ll end the event with a closing ceremony.
