The MS Modified Triathlon was started by STEP in 2013 designed specifically for people with MS. It is run entirely by caring volunteers from the MS community, some who have MS and some who work with MS. It is based on the idea of Matt Castens, who was training for his first triathlon when he was diagnosed with MS. Unable to complete the triathlon that he had worked so hard for, and being a lifetime goal for Matt, he brainstormed the idea of a modified triathlon for people who are unable to complete a full triathlon.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come and cheer on participants!
The MS Modified Triathlon has grown in popularity each year since its inception, enabling people with varying degrees of MS to stay active and challenge themselves in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
We are pleased to announce that STEP Therapies has partnered up with Xperience Fitness in Vadnais Heights for our upcoming 2017 event!! They have volunteered their facility, services, equipment, staff and welcoming atmosphere to help make this event happen!
