Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps individuals regain independence and confidence in their everyday activities by addressing the physical, cognitive and sensory challenges that can impact daily life. OT also provides valuable support for caregivers and family members to help reduce physical strain, increase safety and improve confidence with assisting loved ones.
Individuals may benefit from OT if they experience:
- Difficulty with daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, cooking or working
- Hand weakness, coordination challenges or fine motor difficulties
- Fatigue, low endurance, or difficulty managing energy throughout the day
- Cognitive changes, including memory, attention, or problem-solving challenges
- Changes in independence due to disease progression or injury
Our occupational therapist takes a personalized, hands-on approach to treatment, identifying barriers that make daily tasks difficult and develop practical strategies to overcome them. This may include strengthening and coordination exercises, energy conservation techniques, adaptive equipment recommendations, cognitive strategies and task modifications. The goal is not just improvement in movement, but improved quality of life—helping you do the things that matter most with greater ease, independence and confidence.
